Happy June! The snow is melting off of our mountain ranges and its really beginning to feel like summer with daily highs now climbing into the mid 80's. The weather has been beautiful although we have had some mountain west thunderstorms during the afternoons. And despite limited clear water, fishing has been good!

The South Fork of the Snake has been fishing well. Cutties are moving into the riffles and are sitting in shallower water. Streamer action has been decent, with lighter colors being more effective in these recent sunny days. Other sub-surface action has been good, though be sure to add enough weight to your rig to get it down in the column. Bead heads, blobs and other attractor nymphs have been effective with pats rubber legs working on lower sections.

The water in Pinedale is rising quickly and therefore is muddy. This is making fishing tougher though clearer water can be found on the upper stretches of the Green. We are on the verge of a worm hatch so stay tuned in the next few weeks for the water to drop and the fishing to fire up.

The crowds in Jackson are back, and so are we!
