Founded on October 1, 1986, Westbank Anglers has grown from a local Jackson Hole fly shop into a trusted global fly fishing outfitter. Launched by Reynolds Pomeroy, Bettie Pomeroy, and Kim Vletas—with its first catalog released the following year—Westbank Anglers quickly became known for exceptional service, expert knowledge, and a passion for the sport.

Over the years, we expanded our offerings to include international guided fly fishing trips to world-class destinations such as Argentina, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and the Florida Keys, as well as iconic U.S. fisheries like Yellowstone National Park, the Snake River, the South Fork of the Snake River, Flaming Gorge, and Wyoming’s Green River.

In the early 2000s, Westbank Anglers hosted a renowned fly fishing school at Crescent H Ranch, further solidifying our reputation as a leader in education and guiding. Ownership transitioned in 2000 to D. Baker Salsbury, and again in December 2022 to Mike Dawes and a group of dedicated investors. Our grand reopening on May 12, 2023, marked an exciting new chapter in our history.

Westbank Anglers is also proud of its longstanding connection to the prestigious Jackson Hole One Fly tournament, including a 1986 win using the iconic lime Trude fly, and the 2023 Vern Bressler Top Pro title earned by guide Colin Ah.
