South Fork of the Snake (Idaho)
Downstream from the Snake in Jackson Hole is the legendary South Fork of the Snake. It is one of the most revered river systems in the world, known mostly for it’s incredible dry fly fishing. Depending on the season, you might be throwing a size 8 Chubby Chernobyl or a size 22 Blue Wing Olive. But rest assured, no matter the season, these hungry trout love to look up to bugs on the surface. But, that’s not to say they won’t eat a nymph or streamer as well. Many anglers come to fish the South Fork in the fall solely with big articulated streamers. This is the place to catch that monster fish you won’t have to exaggerate about.
In addition to full day trips, we offer an incredible experience with our South Fork Overnight Adventure. Comfortable, cozy amenities and gourmet food are just the icing on the cake. You’ll have two days of world-class fishing through the canyon section of the South Fork. Check out additional information about this incredible opportunity here.
Rates: Full Day Trips $700 – Overnight Adventure $2,950/boat (2 boat minimum)
Season: Year round (depending on weather). Prime season June through October.
Green and New Fork Rivers (Wyoming)
These Pinedale area rivers provide a great backdrop for chasing trout. A trip to either of these rivers is suggested mostly for adventurous and intermediate to experienced anglers. Both the Green and New Fork usually clear well before the Snake, making them a great option for anyone with the itch to catch some trout in the Spring. Brown, rainbow, and some cutthroat live in these secluded rivers. Because the Green and New Fork are about an hour and a half drive from Jackson Hole we only offer full day trips.
Rates: Full Day Trips $700
Season: April through October(depending on water levels)
Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming)
Yellowstone seems like another planet when you think about geysers and other geothermal features. But, when it comes to fishing it seems more like heaven. There is an abundance of water in Yellowstone, but much of it is a long drive from Jackson Hole. However, near the South entrance, the upper Snake and the Lewis River hold great quantities of big fish. So that’s where we head for guided fishing. The legendary streams in the Northeast corner of the park are some of the most storied trout waters in the world, but many anglers overlook the opportunities in the rest of the park. Most of our trips to Yellowstone are in the fall, when flows are ideal for a walk/wade trip.
Rates: Full Day Trips $700
Season: Yellowstone opens to fishing Memorial Day weekend and closes the end of October. Prime season is before July 4th and after September 1st.
We practice catch-and-release on all our guided trips. Together, we can preserve and enhance our valuable fishing resources.
