Jackson Hole Fishing Report 5/26
The Snake’s run off is well on its way with flows being measured at 6930 cfs in Moose this afternoon. If the weekend forecast holds true flows should increase even more as warmer temperatures will speed up the snow melt process.
There are still fishing options in the area. The South Fork of the Snake, the Henry’s fork, and the opening of Yellowstone park last weekend, still gives us fishing within a short drive. Our guides have been out, and about taking clients fishing, and enjoying days off with good numbers and healthy fish on said areas. The Green River has been low and clear the past few days, however it has already risen 200 cfs since yesterday so I would expect warm temperatures to put the Green high, and off color by the middle of the weekend.
Run off time can be a pain for the avid fisherman, but I assure you clear water, and happy fish are just around the corner. All this moisture we have received these passed 3 weeks was much needed, and should help our river systems get off on the right foot.
