Jackson Hole/ Snake River Fishing Report 4/17/15
It has been an interesting pattern of weather lately, and it has certainly determined how good of a fishing day it will be. We have better weather coming in to finish this week, and continuing into the weekend. The warmer temps should pick up the fishing, and we are hopeful it will give us a good Skwala hatch. If you do find yourself in the midst of a Swala hatch still focus on riffles, and slower water. Try a Purple Chubby, or a medium size black stonefly pattern. Slow banks and tail out of pools are still where the fish are. Nymphing some type of stonefly like a rubber leg, or prince nymph will produce well. Streamer fishing could also be good in certain spots during the warmer parts of the day.
Enjoy the April fishing while it lasts. A string of warmer days can certainly get the water off color this time of year, so be sure to get out there this weekend.
Our Shop will now be open Monday through Saturday 9-5. We will still be closed Sundays through the rest of the month.
