Besides a minor snow storm this passed Monday spring seems to be on its way. With last weeks weather reaching the 50’s, and bright sunny days, the Snake River has been crawling with anxious fisherman. Forecasts of warmer weather continuing this week, and into the weekend should get us back to where we started a week ago. Some of our guides have come into the shop with great reports, along with stories of some nice cutty’s. Nymphing and streamer fishing has been the way to go it seems. I still would bring a couple of small dry flies just in case you see some rising fish. Walking my dog on the dyke the other evening I saw a few pods of fish rising. They were coming to the surface for some nice size midges. If I was smart enough to have brought my rod it would have been a fun evening. We have some great patterns here at the shop, some I really like for this time of year. We can certainly lead you in the right direction, and answer any questions you may have on some of these winter techniques. Always feel free to call us , and never shy away from coming into the shop.
Tight Lines,
Patrick
