February has been a snowy one! Both skiers, and fisherman are excited about the heavy accumulation this month. Looks like there is more snow in the forecast for this weekend. With a strong snow pack heading into March, we are excited to see some Happy trout. March usually brings us warmer day temperatures which can make for a great combination of morning skiing, and afternoon fishing on the Snake. We usually need some consistent days in the high 30’s to 40’s for the winter/spring fishing to really pick up. If you decide to do some wade fishing be aware with all of this snow we have had. A pair of snow shoes may be a good idea, unless you like post holing in waist high snow. I know here at the shop we are anxious to dust off the rods, and see some sun. Enjoy the rest of what our winter has to offer, as fishing could be around the corner before you know it !
